Downtown Renovations Set to Debut this Spring

JACKSON, Tenn. — Some new outdoor attractions for visitors to downtown Jackson will soon be debuting. One of which, the new amphitheater which is set to open this spring. Mayor Jerry Gist told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News the sound system is already in place and about a dozen concerts are planned. The new dog park, which sits adjacent to the amphitheater will also open this spring. It will give dog owners the chance to let their animals play off-leash. Plus, something still in the works according to the mayor, adding accent lighting to downtown utility poles.
