New Milan Police Chief Appointed

MILAN, Tenn.-There Is a new police chief in Milan. Former Milan Police Commander Bobby Sellers has been appointed as the new police chief. Wednesday, WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News caught up with him as he was setting up his new office. Chief Sellers said his goal is to help upgrade the department’s equipment. And he said he would like to see a resource officer in the high school. He said he was grateful for the opportunity. “I just wanted to continue my career here, I love Milan. I love serving this community and it gives me a little bit more ability to do some of the things i’ve always wanted to do,” said Chief Sellers. Sellers’ appointment comes after Tim Wright retired after almost three decades of service.
