Huntingdon Principal Retires

HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — A principal that has been with the Huntingdon Special School District for more than 22 years has announced plans for retirement. Huntingdon High School Principal Mike Henson’s retirement is effective June 30. Henson has been with HSSD for 22 years as an educator, coach and administrator. Before Huntingdon, Henson spent 8 years in Gibson County. As for retirement plans, Henson says he doesn’t have anything set in stone, but plans on keeping his job as a part-time score keeper with the Jackson Generals. The school board is currently accepting applications through March 21.
