TDOT Prepares to Fix More Potholes

JACKSON, Tenn. – Two days of ice and snow are taking their toll on roadways across West Tennessee. Divots in the pavement, especially along Interstate 40, are causing problems for drivers again. Less than a month ago, state crews worked tirelessly to fill massive potholes along Interstate 40. Now many of them are resurfacing. TDOT says its ready to get to work as soon as the ice melts. “In our roughest parts, we’re going to mill out with our milling machine then put back with our pavers until we can have them resurfaced,” said Scott Taylor, District Operations Manager with TDOT. Last month, TDOT crews repaired more than 200 potholes in Jackson alone.
