PARIS, Tenn. There is a surprising twist to a suspected hate crime in Paris back in November. The victim who said he was attacked and had a 3-word homophobic slur written across his forehead pleads guilty to perjury. According to the Henry County Court Clerk’s office, Joe Williams entered the plea Thursday. His six month jail sentence was suspended. Instead he will serve six months probation. Officers said Williams told them he was beaten unconscious inside his family’s health food store and robbed of $1,200. He said his attackers used a black marker to write on his forehead.
