HUNTINGDON, Tenn — Neighbors are worried after learning of suspected drug use inside a Huntingdon home. A 14-month old child was living there with his father and stepmother. “Children are innocent. Why would you do that to you child? Somebody that loves you more than anybody in the world – why do that? Why risk that?,” neighbor Mary Stroud said. Benjamin Fowler was arrested on Wednesday after a child services worker’s visit. She told Huntingdon Police she saw what she thought was meth inside the home. “When they start working on a case, they do in home visits, and that’s what they were doing,” Sgt. Brad Allen said. Police said Fowler admitted to having meth and Xanax pills inside the home. Fowler is now free on bond. He and his wife refused to go on camera, but said he has had an addiction to drugs ever since he came back from war in Iraq. The 24-year old said he wants to go to rehab, but his son is in custody of relatives for now.
