Afternoon Car Wreck Involving School Bus

EAST JACKSON — A wreck involving a school bus and a small car happened Friday afternoon on Royal Street and Lane Avenue near JCM school. The call went out around 4 p.m. on Friday. No students were on the bus at the time, and the driver of the bus was not injured. According to Ginger Carver, Marketing & PR Specialist at JMCSS, a vehicle ran the stop light at the intersection and hit bus 28. The driver of the vehicle is a JMCSS employee and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. No updated information on the condition of the driver of the vehicle has been received at this time.
