Memphis Police Officer Hurt in Jackson Wreck

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Memphis police officer was hurt after a wreck on I-40 near Jackson Saturday afternoon. Memphis police confirm the officer was taken to a local hospital but is in stable condition. The Tennessee Highway Patrol tells WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News he was on a motorcycle and wrecked near exit 73 while getting off an exit to a rest area. Investigators say the cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
