Woman Arrested for Dragging Officer
A 28-year-old woman has been charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and accused of dragging him using a car. Reegan Blunt is charged in the incident that took place early Thursday morning. Tupelo police say their units were serving as backup to a Mississippi Highway Patrol unit pursuing a vehicle that was failing to yield. Police say a Tupelo officer, during the stop attempt, was dragged by the vehicle, driven by Blunt, about twenty yards. The officer was not injured and did not require medical attention.
