Photo Released of Suspect in Purse Theft

HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — Police are hoping a newly released surveillance photo will help solve a 2013 crime. On Oct. 1, 2013, investigators say a woman was collecting rent from her tenants when someone pulled up in a red SUV, took her purse from her car and drove off. There was reportedly nearly $3,000 in the purse. Police recovered the empty purse in Parker’s Crossroads with only a receipt in it from a store in Gleason. Police were able to pull surveillance video from the store to get this photo. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Huntingdon police.
