TBI Arrests Brownsville Woman on Drug Charges
BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. – A Brownsville woman is in jail on drug charges after a four-month drug investigation. Karen Beaird King was arrested Monday night by the Haywood County Sheriff’s Department. King is charged with two counts of Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance (Oxycodone) and two counts of Sale of Schedule II Controlled Substance (Oxycodone). According to a release from the TBI, the Browsnville Police Department requested the TBI begin investigating King in May of 2013. On several occasions from May to September of 2013 an undercover TBI agent made multiple purchases of Oxycodone from King. King is being held in the Haywood County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
