Police: Man Damages ATM While Trying to Get EBT Card Out

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — A man was arrested on Tuesday after police say he caused significant damage to an ATM after his EBT card got stuck in the machine. According to police, Kenneth Vernon Mays, 34, went to the ATM at BanCorp South on Main Street and got his EBT card stuck in the machine. While he was trying to get it out, he caused more than $1,000 worth of damage. Mays has been charged with Vandalism over $1,000.
