Suspect Wanted in Friday Night Shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. – Investigators with the Jackson Police Department said they have a suspect in the Friday night shooting of a 16-year-old girl. They say he will likely face a charge of attempted murder. The teen was shot in the leg while at a home on Brentwood Drive just after 9 p.m, Friday. Investigators believe the girl was an innocent bystander who was attending a birthday party. Witnesses told police during the party, an argument turned violent. Officers believe two shots were fired into the house. Officers have not released the name of their suspect.
