Man Wanted for UT Martin Shovel Attack Surrenders to Law Enforcement

MARTIN, Tenn. — The man wanted in connection to an attack outside of a fraternity house at UT Martin turned himself in on Thursday. Christopher Morris,23, surrendered himself to the Weakley County Sheriff‘s Office. Morris is accused of using a shovel to hit the fraternity member in the arm and head before running away, but leaving the shovel behind. According to Capt. Don Teal with the Martin Police Department, Morris is being charged with one count of aggravated assault.
