Deputies Confirm a Late Night Shooting in Buchanan
BUCHANAN, Tenn. – A man is in custody this morning after a late night shooting in Henry County. Henry County deputies say it happened at 11:18 p.m. Tuesday night on Swan Bay Estates Road in Buchanan. Authorities say 37-year-old Guy Biggs was shot in the chest after a confrontation with 38-year-old Jason Owen. Investigators say Owen entered the home with a weapon, and demanded that Joyce Biggs get her stuff and come with him. We’re told she left the area, and her gun shots a few seconds later. Biggs was transported by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is in stable condition. Deputies say Owen turned himself in around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. He is currently being held at the Henry County Jail on $500,000 bond.
