Madison County Commissioners Discuss Budget

WEST JACKSON — The formulation of a proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year is underway for county leaders. Different department heads and leaders began their presentations to the Madison County budget committee on Monday. Following the hearings, the committee will work on a document that will ultimately be presented to the full commission for discussion and a vote. Budget meeting will continue through April 28. A new budget for the county has to be in place by July 1.
