FEMA Disaster Aid for Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn.- It looks as though Madison County will get some help with the cost of our most recent winter storms. FEMA announced Tuesday the disaster aid money has been made available to the five counties in West Tennessee most affected by the winter storms in March. Officials said there has not been a set amount of money announced yet, but know that it will go where it is most needed. “Most of the department heads already know what to do they have got the stuff together, so I don’t think they are going to turn down much for us so i think we are in good shape on that part,” said Marty Clements, director with the Jackson-Madison County Emergency Management Agency. Officials estimate Madison County could receive $500,000.
