THP Officials Investigating Cause of Deadly Crash
HAYWOOD COUNTY, Tenn. — Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a deadly crash on I-40 late Tuesday night. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, one lane of the interstate reopened early Wednesday morning following a crash involving three semi trucks. The crash happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday night just west of the Brownsville exit at milemarker 56. The eastbound lanes of the interstate were shut down for several hours during cleanup.
