Local College Student Athletes Celebrate End of the Year

JACKSON, Tenn. — Union University sports teams stepped away from their athletic domains to celebrate their end of the year on Thursday afternoon. In a carnival setting, the Bulldogs along with HUB Club of Jackson welcomed the community and fans out for a day filled with fun. “It’s a great opportunity for our student athletes to build relationships, let these kids know who we are and invite them out to our sporting events,” said Associate Director of Athletics Katie Woodruff. Players and kids participated in a myriad of activities that ranged from face painting to inflatable bouncers. “To me it’s special to see our athletes getting an opportunity to reach out and meet kids they never met before,” said Dionna Linn, president of the student-athletes advisory.
