Health department issues order on business reopenings
JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department director Kim Tedford released an order Thursday on what businesses will be allowed to reopen on Monday, May 4.
The order says Tedford will allow for the City of Jackson and Madison County to reopen certain businesses, beginning at 12:01 a.m. May 4.
Those businesses include the following:
- gyms/fitness or exercise centers/similar facilities
- barber shops
- hair salons
- waxing salons
- threading salons
- nail salons or spas
- spas providing body treatments
- body-art facilities or tattoo services
- tanning salons
- massage therapy establishments or massage services
These businesses will be allowed to reopen if they operate in a safe manner, and as long as the industry can operate safely without adverse health outcomes.
