80 People Attend Goodwill Job Fair

SOUTH JACKSON — In honor of National Goodwill Week, the Jackson Goodwill Career Center is hosting workshops and career fairs aimed at helping the unemployed find work. About 80 people attended the Goodwill job fair on Wednesday morning hoping they would walk away with a job. Goodwill hosts the job fair to help connect those in need of a job with employers looking to hire. “What we have is people who are just your average person, your blue collar worker,who wants to pay their bills, take care of their kids, and they are in desperate need of a job, but they have the skills to go to work,” Casey Coatney a Career Counselor said. “They just need the employer.” Anyone seeking employment can attend the job fair on Thursday. Job Fair: Cox Oil seeks to fill multiple positions including cashier, food service and management positions Madison, Carroll, Henderson, Crockett and Gibson counties. Pay rate range $7.25+ per hour depending on experience. Friday, May 9, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. 1320 S.
