Police: Men Steal Parks and Recreation Vehicle From City

UNION CITY, Tenn. — A stolen government vehicle leads to the arrest of three Obion men. Johnathan Vaughn, Dakota Doughty and Ian Reed were arrested on Sunday morning after an Obion police officer saw a Union City Parks and Recreation truck speeding near the grainery. After pulling over the truck, the officer determined the trio in the car broke the window of the pickup truck and drove the car from the facility, located at 311 S. Sunswept Drive. Howard and Vaughn, both 21, are charged with auto theft and vandalism. Their bond is set at $30,000. Doughty, 22, is facing auto theft, vandalism and possession of schedule II drug charges. His bond is set at $50,000. The trio will be back in court on May 22 at 9 a.m.
