Judge Denies New Trial For Convicted Rapist

CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. — A convicted sex offender is denied the request for a new trial. Randy Cary appeared in Carroll County Circuit Court Wednesday. His attorney argued Cary should be granted a new trial, a request Judge Donald Parish denied. In December, Cary was convicted of especially aggravated kidnapping and aggravated rape. Cary was sentenced to 120 years in prison. A motion for a new trial is a preface to an appeal.
