Bruins Win State Championship

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — University School of Jackson’s baseball team finally got over the hump. The Bruins defeated Tipton-Rosemark 8-4 in the State Championship. It was the fifth meeting between the two. The four previous outings resulted in a USJ lost, but Thursday’s title game was the only one that mattered. This is the program’s second championship in three seasons and first under head coach Jack Peel.
