JACKSON, Tenn.- Wednesday is a time to celebrate: It Is National Hamburger Day, so dig in! Whether it is a patty smothered in cheese and onions on a toasted roll, or no bread at all, National Hamburger Day is your excuse to celebrate this food icon. The owner of Dixie Castle in downtown Jackson said he has a different type of way of making his burgers stand out from the rest. “When I cut my steaks at night time, I take my trimmings from my steaks and blend it with my chucks which makes it a better tasting burger,” said Mark Hudgens, owner of the Dixie Castle restaurant. If you did not have a burger Wednesday you have a few more days. May is actually National Hamburger Month.
