County finance committee votes to grant bonuses to employees

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — The Madison County Financial Management Committee voted against pay raises for employees on Tuesday, but approved an alternative. The committee proposed all county employees will get bonuses, including $750 for full-time employees and $250 for part-time employees. The changes will not take place yet; the budget has to be approved by the full county commission at their next meeting on June 16. The committee also decided not to cut any library funding.
