Alleged machete fighter appears in court

WEST JACKSON — A man police say was wielding a machete during a street fight appeared in court on Tuesday morning. Brejun Savage is facing aggravated assault and possession of a deadly weapon charges after a fight on Monday night. Investigators say Savage fought with two women outside an apartment on Hollywood Boulevard and tried to attack a man who tried to intervene. Savage’s bond was set at $15,000, and his next court date is June 19 at 1:30 p.m.
