Infant hurt in Jackson shooting released from hospital

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — An infant harmed in a shooting last week has been released from the hospital, according to Jackson police. The 4-month old boy was released from Le Bonheur on Friday. His mother remains in critical condition at Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Both victims were injured on the night of June 12 during a shooting on East End Street in Jackson. A 19-year-old man who was also inside the house during the shooting suffered a minor injury. He was treated and released from the hospital early Friday morning. No arrests have been made in this shooting, and police say they are actively pursuing leads.
