Police expect to charge son accused in father’s murder

JACKSON, Tenn.- Police are expected to charge a son in connection to his father’s apparent murder during the weekend. But as of now those charges have not been filed. Investigators said Clayton Nelson, 29, surrendered Sunday morning in Nashville after authorities convinced him over the phone to turn himself in to Nashville Metro police. Nashville investigators said when he was arrested he was driving his father’s SUV. A family member called police, asking for a welfare check. When they arrived, they found the door open and no signs of forced entry.
