LIFT Wellness Center Construction Continues

JACKSON, Tenn. – Construction on the LIFT Wellness Center continues to make progress, after being underway since early last year. 7 Eyewitness News got a sneak peek inside the building Thursday afternoon. Officials said it is not supposed to be finished until mid-January, but more than 300 people have already signed up for a gym membership. They said 60 percent of those who have registered live in Jackson, and 40 percent are from surrounding counties. “So many people connect here in Jackson,” said Brandy Eason, marketing manager for the LIFT Wellness Center. “With the downtown area, we’re centrally located to the biggest bulk of all of the jobs that are here in Jackson-Madison County.” Workers said the business strip in front of the wellness center will be ready by December. The apartments on-site should be finished by May of next year.
