Emily Prince memorial barrel race

The Emily Prince Memorial Barrel Race and World Flag race are this weekend in Milan. The event is named after Emily Prince who was an avid barrel racer but died in a four wheeling accident in 2004 when she was only 22. Competitors from Tennessee, Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri, Mississippi, Indiana and Kentucky come to west Tennessee to compete in the races. Last year over 550 riders participated in the races during the event weekend. The event is at the Milan City Park. Saturday’s event starts at noon. Parking is $5. Contestants in the events have a chance to win prizes.
