WEST JACKSON — Madison County election commission officials are reminding voters of what to bring to the polls now that the election season is upon us. Early voting begins Friday at 9 a.m. for those who already know who they plan on voting for in the upcoming election. Check with your county election office for specific hours and voting locations. By law, your election commission office must be open at least three Saturdays during the early voting period. You must have a valid state, federal or military photo ID to cast a ballot, but election officials are encouraging voters to bring one other item as well. “We love it when our voters bring their voter registration card,” Kim Buckley, Madison County Election Commission administrator said. “It helps the line move faster because we can take off that card and process the voter more quickly.” Early voting ends Aug 2, and Election Day is on Aug. 7.
