Man Arrested for Pot-Growing Probe
A Biloxi man sought on charges involving an indoor marijuana-growing operation in a rural Harrison County subdivision has turned himself in. Authorities say the hydroponic pot, discovered in sophisticated grow rooms Tuesday night at two homes is worth more than one million dollars. Sheriff Melvin Brisolara says 25-year-old Tin Q. Tran turned himself in Thursday after learning he was wanted on charges of cultivation of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Tran was questioned and booked at the county jail on bonds of four-hundred thousand dollars set by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain. Narcotics agents said they seized about three-hundred seventy-two hydroponically grown marijuana plants and about twenty-one pounds of processed pot for a combined weight of about one-hundred pounds of potent marijuana.
