Woman accused of staging workplace robbery formally charged

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A woman accused of staging a robbery at her job was formally charged on Wednesday. Lacy Littleton, 20, was formally charged with theft over $1,000 and filing a false report. On June 27 just after 10 p.m., Littleton called police to report she had been robbed at gunpoint while working at the Days Inn on Hollywood Drive. Littleton told police an unidentified man with a gun demanded money and she complied. After a further probe, investigators realized Littleton had conspired with the man and coordinated the fake robbery. Her bond was set at $30,000 and is scheduled to appear for her preliminary hearing on July 31.
