Bank robbery reported in Midtown Jackson, suspects on the run

MIDTOWN JACKSON — Two men are on the run after a bank robbery on Tuesday afternoon. At 12:32 p.m., Bank Robbery at Bancorp South, 1411 N. Highland (nearest cross street is Tucker Street) was robbed at gunpoint, according to police. There were no injuries to anyone inside. The suspect was described as a black man, 6′ 3″, 240 pounds and wearing a white cap, lavender shirt, dark-colored vest, dark-colored tie and dark-colored pants. He was seen leaving in a gray vehicle with damage to left- rear. He was last seen going east on Forest from Tucker Street. The car was driven by a second black male.
