JACKSON, Tenn.- This week, the Hub City is playing host to an annual event drawing hundreds from across region. The Tennessee Central Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ is holding its 33rd annual Holy Convocation at the Carl Perkins Civic Center. Along with day and night worship and activities, a roster of guest speakers, inspirational speakers and musical talent are headlining this week’s event. Leaders said those who attend leave infused with the spirit of God. “When they go back, they can be inspired and impart to their people and their parishoners that God is real, he’s able and he’s still able to do miracles. He’s still in the saving business and the delivering business,” said Elder Anthony Williams of the House of Praise, in Clarksville.
