Kids learn about community heroes during “Parent’s Day Out”

NORTH JACKSON — Pre-schoolers at Englewood Baptist Church learned about the people who save lives on a daily basis. On Thursday morning, children taking part in “Parent’s Day Out” were treated to community helpers day. Children were able to get up close to an ambulance, Jackson police cars and a medical helicopter Ministers at the church say this is a great way to get parents involved in student activities. “Our main focus of course is to teach them that Jesus loves them, to teach them about God’s word, but then we also do pre school skills and things of that nature to get them prepared and ready for Kindergarten,” Sherry Fesmire, Director of Pre-School Ministries said. The church says the program is open to the public and all children are welcome and interested people should call 731-668-1094 or copy and paste this link their browser http://www.ebcjackson.org/pre-school/
