JMCSS teacher update
JACKSON, Tenn.- There is good news for Jackson-Madison County Schools as only three positions in the school system are left to be filled. At the beginning of the school year, there were more than a dozen positions needing to be filled. Jackson-Madison County Schools superintendent said getting these positions filled is a big step towards students excelling academically. “Without a highly effective teacher, we were going to be in jeopardy of fulfilling our academic achievement goals and having a highly-affective teacher in the classroom at the beginning of school was very important to us,” said Dr. Verna Ruffin, superintendent of Jackson-Madison County Schools. Two of the three positions are filled, pending background checks.
