Police make arrests in Memphis parking lot attack

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Three more teenagers have been arrested and charged in connection with a parking lot attack in Memphis.

Police said Monday afternoon that a 16-year-old now faces charges of aggravated assault and aggravated riot, and 15-year-old and 17-year-old boys are charged with aggravated riot. Police previously said a 15-year-old was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and aggravated riot.

Police did not name the juveniles who were charged after the fight Saturday night outside a Kroger grocery store.

Police said teenagers first attacked a 25-year-old customer as he left his car to enter the store.

Two Kroger employees, ages 17 and 18, were then knocked unconscious as they attempted to stop the fight. Video shows a teenage boy kicking one of the employees while he was on the ground.

The attackers dispersed and fled before police arrived. The three injured people were treated on the scene.
