DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. — Friends, neighbors and supporters of Holly Bobo’s family stand in silence at Tuesday’s news conference, but their message is clear: They are relieved that Holly is finally home. For more than three years, the abduction of Bobo from her family home has captivated the small town. Residents say hearing Bobo’s remains are found brings a mix of emotions. “We have been living in this unknown where the body is,” said Don Franks, the Bobo family’s pastor. “There is this relief to know that door is open and that this family will have closure.” Some in the community also were conflicted upon hearing the news. “Sad, but also knowing that there will be closure for the family,” said community member Kathy Weatherford. Franks says he believes God intended for the hunters to find Holly when they did. “At the same time that these hunters found Holly’s remains, they were experiencing a baptism of her little cousin,” Franks said. Bobo family supporters said they hope this discovery also will help bring justice for Holly. “Hope all the truth comes out and that justice will be served, Weatherford said.
