Carroll County man arrested, accused of rape, kidnapping

CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. — A Carroll County man is arrested on rape and kidnapping charges. Police told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Roy Lee Ellis, 44, was arrested on September 5 after a 19-year-old woman told officers he raped her at gunpoint inside his home. She told officers he also threatened to kill her and her family if she told anyone. Ellis is charged with aggravated rape, especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Investigators believe Ellis may have attacked other women.
