Five Charged with Aggravated Robbery

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn – Five people have been arrested and charged in the armed robbery of a pizza delivery man. According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, one of the accused held the victim at gunpoint at a home on Meadowood Drive while the other suspects robbed him of cash, personal items and the pizza and wings he was delivering. Investigators determined that the residence was a vacant house. A neighbor reported observing a green Chevy Blazer near the residence and it was found a short time later at a McDonalds. The suspects were taken into custody there. The suspects were identified as: 1. Joshua O‘Neil Evans, age 19, of Meadowood Drive, Jackson, TN, has been charged with Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Robbery, Theft of Property and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor; 2. John David Austin Tart, age 19, of E. University Parkway, Jackson, TN, has been charged with Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Robbery, Theft of Property and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor; 3. Hunter Paul Brinkley, age 18, of Walker Road, Jackson, TN, has been charged with Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Robbery, Theft of Property and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor; 4. Diamond Dezhawn Mitchell, age 20, of Maddox Street, Jackson, TN, has been charged with Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Robbery, Theft of Property, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Possession of Stolen Property; and 5. A 17-year-old juvenile has also been charged with Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Robbery and Theft of Property. Arraignments for the adults have been scheduled for October 25, 2012, at 8:30 a.m. in General Sessions Court Division I. The time of the 17-year-old juvenile‘s detention hearing is not known at this time.
