West TN Airports Receive Aeronautics Grants

JACKSON, Tenn.- 23 Tennessee airports will be receiving millions of dollars for improvements and Jackson’s McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport is one of them that made the list. The Tennessee Department of Transportation made the announcement, Tuesday. More than $16 million in federal and state aeronautics grants have been awarded. Other West Tennessee airports on the list to receive funding include Charles Baker Aviation Airport in Memphis, Everett-Stewart Airport in Union City, Carroll County Airport in Huntingdon and Robert Sibley Airport in Selmer. Funds will go towards infrastructure and other improvements at each airport facility.
