Accused gang member appears in court

DOWNTOWN JACKSON, Tenn. – A suspected Vice Lord street gang member who was arrested last month inside a home on North Fairgrounds Street returned to Jackson City Court, Thursday. Cedrick Woodruff appeared for his preliminary hearing on various drug and weapons counts. He waived his right to the hearing, which allows the case to now go to the December Madison County grand jury. Woodruff was one of nine people taken into custody in August when Jackson police raided the home looking for a shooting suspect wanted in Trenton. Woodruff remains jailed in Madison County in lieu of $100,000 bond.
