Jackson man accused of bribing witness appears in court

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man who police say attempted to bribe a witness appeared Friday in court. Tarius Taylor was contacted by a Madison County inmate earlier this month and asked to convince a robbery victim to lie about the inmate’s involvement, according to court documents. The victim says Taylor returned a gun and TV that had been stolen from him and that he was offered $500 to drop the charges. Taylor remains jailed in lieu of $100,000 bond.
