Titans stopping themselves in ugly 3-game skid
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Self-inflicted wounds or simple mistakes. Whatever the label, the Tennessee Titans have been hurting themselves far too often, and it’s why they have been embarrassed in three straight losses.
Wide receiver Nate Washington has a little advice for his teammates: Relax. Have some fun.
Washington says he knows people don’t want to hear that relaxing and having fun will help right now. But the veteran receiver says mistakes happen when players go out trying to make that play to spark his team only to wind up pressing too hard, making things tougher than normal.
He says plays and wins come when players are having fun and flying around.
Outscored 100-34 in this skid, the Titans (1-3) hope to clean up their issues Sunday against the Cleveland Browns (1-2).
