Jackson’s Inaugural Food and Art Festival a success

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — Nearly 30 different nationalities and cultures were celebrated at the Inaugural International Food and Art Festival in downtown Jackson. The festival paraded its way throughout downtown to help bring appreciation for different cultures. Various groups were represented through different costumes, food booths and performances. The festival was formed by the city’s Commission on Unity, and organizers said it was a great way to bring together community members’ diverse backgrounds.
