Father wanted in child neglect case is in custody

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — The father wanted by Jackson police accused of leaving his young children home alone without food for days is behind bars in Dyersburg. Officers confirm Michael Bane Sr. was arrested Tuesday night by Dyer County deputies on a charge of evading arrest. Bane is wanted in Jackson on three counts of child neglect. Bane’s wife, Coty Bane, was charged Monday with the same three counts. Officers say their 13, 10 and 9-year-old children were found home alone after they did not show up for school last week.
