Veterans Job Fair Held at Career Center

JACKSON, Tenn- A job fair for veterans was held at the Career Center on Carriage Drive, in Jackson on Thursday. “Paychecks for Patriots” drew at least a hundred veterans and employers. Employers looking to hire veterans, included Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), Auto Zone, Dollar General, which sponsored the event, and a host of others. The career fair was specifically targeted to unemployed veterans. “Overall I give this event a 110,” said veteran, Jessie Gillis. “Veterans need opportunities like this, so I’m glad I came.” Other “Paycheck for Patriots” career fairs were held on Thursday throughout West Tennessee.
