WEST JACKSON — The Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse on Monday received $35,000 from the Walmart foundation. The money is going toward the Victims of Crime Assistance, or VOCA, program. Center officials say the donation will help them support victims of child abuse. “The cycle will continue on if we don’t break that cycle, and the children are our future, and we want to give them every possible break we can, do everything that we can to help,” said Pam Nash, director of the center. In 2013, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation gave $1.3 billion to nonprofit organizations across the country, according to their website.
